The address of a property is increasingly becoming a very important issue. More organisations, postal and emergency services and the general public, need an efficient means of locating and referencing properties.
Winchester City Council maintains the definitive record of street names and property addresses in our Land and property gazetteer The LLPG, which forms part of a National address database the NLPG.

Winchester City Council is the Street Naming and Numbering Authority for the administrative area of Winchester. It carries out this function under the provisions of the Public Health Act 1925 sections 17 -19.
