Community Funding Opportunity
 Parish & town
councils and community organisations in rural Hampshire are invited to apply
for Hampshire County Council grants from £1 - £1000 to help deliver key
priorities for rural Hampshire.
There is a total of £10,000 available under this one-off scheme
for projects expected to be completed by March 2010. Although open
to any community organisation, those bodies that responded to HCC's consultation in autumn 2008 (see www.hants.gov.uk/rural)
are particularly encouraged to apply for money to help implement some of the
many good suggestions they put forward.
Projects
will need to help meet any one of these objectives:
- Supporting sustainable rural
communities (including affordable housing, rural broadband, access to
services, supporting volunteering and community engagement)
- Providing effective rural
transport
- Farming, food and access to
the countryside
- Economic prosperity
- Climate change, including
renewable energy, and making better use of the county's wood-
