Environment Scrutiny Panel

What does it do

The Panel constitutes an overview and scrutiny committee in terms of the Local Government Act 2000 and holds to account the Portfoilo Holder for Planning and Access and the Portfolio Holder for Environment. In summary, this Panel will scrutinise the following functions:-

- The Planning Control, Strategic Planning, Building Control and Environmental Health activities of the Council
- All transportation, parking and engineering activities of the City Council, any Highways and Transportation Agency or similar work carried out for other authorities
- Emergency Planning
- Neighbourhood Wardens
