Over 55's Forum

The Over 55's Forum, which is chaired by local resident Derek Smithers and supported by Winchester City Council. It aims to provide a voice for older people across the Winchester District. It is made up of volunteer members from neighbourhoods and communities across the whole of the District.
The group meet once a month, mainly in the City Centre. They have identified their priorities as:
- Information services for Older people
- Encouraging volunteering amongst older people
- Assisting with transport issues
So far the forum has been busy with events such as the health promotion event- Rust Proofing the Body, Information Day and Question Time with local decision makers. The forum is always looking for new members.

Digital Switchover Help Scheme
Starting in February 2012 analogue television will be switched off across Hampshire. If you don’t have digital TV by the time of switchover, you will lose your TV channels.
