Partnership Toolkit
The idea of working in partnerships has been around for a while, and there are many well established partnerships in the Winchester District.
The real test of a partnership's worth is how well it delivers its work programme and how it contributes to achieving the outcomes we have set for our District.
The Community Strategy for the Winchester District has been reviewed and the hard work in delivering it has begun. The Community Strategy simply could not be delivered without partnership working; a lot rests with the partnerships in the District so it is vital that they are up to the challenge.
This toolkit aims to help anyone who is involved in a partnership to get the most out of working with partners and to ensure that their partnership delivers changes to improve the quality of life for the District. Anyone from any organisation can use this toolkit to help develop their partnership. Further specific documents on finance and risk for use by Winchester City Council officers will be developed according to our own internal procedures.
The toolkit is not meant to be prescriptive. It is divided into sections so you can use it as appropriate for your particular partnership. At best, a partnership can deliver results that couldn't be achieved by one partner alone; at worst partnership working can use up a lot of time and resources. Using this toolkit will help you avoid the latter and make the most of the collective power of working together.
