Youth Council
Youth of Winchester

The Youth of Winchester district youth council serves as the voice of young people from across the Winchester District. The Youth of Winchester is made up of young people who volunteer their time to raise awareness of issues impacting those aged 13-19.
The Youth of Winchester is supported by Winchester City Council and Hampshire County Council Children's Services. The group is open to anyone aged 13-19 who lives in the Winchester District.
The Youth of Winchester work to:
- Give a collective voice to young people around the Winchester District
- Influence decision makers on matters that impact the daily lives of young people
- Provide a platform where young people can speak about issues that impact their health and wellbeing
- Create opportunities for young people to become more involved with their local council and councillors
The Youth of Winchester works together with local schools, government agencies and charities to reach their goals and improve the lives of young people across the whole of the Winchester District.
The priorities of the Youth of Winchester include:
- Reducing cases of bullying in Winchester
- Improving access to activities and leisure facilities
- Improving the image of young people in our communities
- Increasing access to transport options for young people around the District
