Park and Ride
Winchester Park and Ride General Information
The Winchester Park and Ride (P&R) service is operated by Winchester City from car parks constructed by and leased from Hampshire County Council. Park and Ride has been developed as a way of reducing traffic volumes and the impact of traffic in the city centre.
The new South Winchester Park and Ride car park and the East Winchester Park and Ride car parks (Barfield and St Catherine's) there are over 1600 parking spaces now available. The car parks are all covered by CCTV, with all car parks awarded the Park Mark Safer Parking status for security and safety.
Bus Route
The bus route runs between the East Winchester Park & Ride car parks (Barfield and St Catherine's) and the South Winchester Park & Ride car park calling at stops in the City Centre, the Railway Station and near the Hospital on Romsey Road.
As the bus route links between the East and South car parks, this enables users to park at either site and use any bus to access all destinations, as all buses serve all stops.
Please note: There are no Park and Ride bus services on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
