The business centre was opened in early October 2007 and will provide a helping hand for businesses across the Winchester District, from budding entrepreneurs to long-established companies. Customers can access advice, support and guidance in an enterprise focussed environment. Meeting space, specialist 'surgeries' and training days will all be available under one roof, with sympathetic and knowledgeable staff on hand.

The new centre offers affordable facilities in the heart of Winchester with open access to businesses based in the district. This is ideal for entrepreneurs who work from a home office, but need a more formal setting in which to meet clients and colleagues. Services include flexible meeting space, from informal open plan office space to a formal board room setting accommodating up to 12 people. Wireless internet and self service printing, photocopying, scanning and fax facilities are available at affordable rates. Creating a platform for enterprise, the centre offers the latest presentation technology to meet current and future business needs. We expect staff from the two universities will use the centre for in-town meetings, and that entrepreneurial students and graduates will take advantage of the advice and support on offer.

Winchester Business Centre will be open between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Tuesday to Thursday in the first instance. The North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Winchester City Centre Partnership will be based in the centre, and responsible for the day-to-day running of services.
