Core Strategy Preferred Option

The Preferred Option sets out for the first time the complete Core Strategy, including the detailed wording of policies and proposals, and the allocation of key sites across the District for development over the next twenty years.

A copy of the Core Strategy Preferred Option document can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Earlier parts of the process explored possible opportunities and options for growth and change, and a wealth of information has been gathered ranging from technical studies and reports (see evidence base), to feedback from stakeholders and the community (see results).

Consultation on the Preferred Option concluded on 3 July 2009. This included an exhibition which you can still view online -
