Park and Pay by Phone - Enforcement
How will a Civil Enforcement Officer know that I have paid using park and pay?
When you pay for your parking using the Pay by Phone Service, the vehicle registration number and parking time is displayed on the handheld device used by our staff.
I paid for my parking using the Park and Pay service and received a Penalty Charge Notice. Why has this happened?
There are several reasons why you would have received a Penalty Charge Notice when you have paid using the Park and Pay service.
- You did not enter the correct Vehicle Registration Number or were not using the car that is registered with the service
- You entered an incorrect Location Number for where you were parked
- The vehicle was in breach of the regulations stipulated on the notice boards.
- You did not Press 1 to confirm the transaction when paying by phone and the transaction did not register
- Your card payment failed and therefore no parking transaction was entered on to the system.
If you receive a Penalty Charge Notice, any challenge will need to be referred to the Parking Office as normal.
