Park MarkŪ - Safer Parking Awards
Sixteen of Winchester City Council's car parks have been awarded Park Mark Safer Parking Awards.
The Park Mark Safer Parking Award is given by the Police to car parks that have achieved the standards of the Safer Parking Scheme. The scheme is owned by ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) and administered by the BPA (British Parking Association). The Safer Parking Scheme is designed to reduce crime and, subsequently, the fear of crime in car parks.
The car parks that have been accredited are:

Durngate
Gladstone Street
Jewry Street
Middle Brook Street
River Park Leisure Centre
St Catherines Park and Ride
St Peters
The Brooks

Basingwell Street, Bishops Waltham
Lower Lane, Bishops Waltham
