Bishop's Waltham held a successful Community Open Day at the Jubilee Hall on 25th March. Representatives of community and voluntary groups explained their activities and recruited new members. The open day really demonstrated the wealth of activity in the area. In addition to this event, new signposts have been installed to help visitors navigate around the village. This combined with a developing village website is helping to put Bishops Waltham on the visitor map.
Wickham Chamber of Trade arranged a Welcome Host training course for local businesses in February. This is a nationally recognised one-day course, endorsed by Visit Britain - the national tourism body - for quality customer service. The town businesses are also planning to develop a tourism leaflet to help visitors find their way around Wickham.
