Changes to the LSP structure
There have been some changes to the Winchester District Strategic Partnership.
The new structure changes the full LSP meetings to five Strategic Outcome Groups, in order for everyone to get real projects off the ground affecting our local community.
One of those groups is the Economic Prosperity Strategic Outcome Group, chaired by John Harrocks of the North Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He will be leading the group in dealing with issues affecting all aspects of the economy - from land use planning to travel to work.
The future of the district's economy
The economic prosperity strategic outcome group has met to define how it can make a difference to the local economy. Whilst it is clear much work crosses over with other Winchester District Strategic Partnership themes, there are plenty of areas where this group can make a difference.
The main area of discussion at the group's first meeting was about the Core Strategy Issues and Options paper.
The group is keen to make its aim of enhancing the local economy clear during this consultation period, but without detriment to the very environment which makes
