Segensworth Business Improvement District (BID)
BID proposals submitted by Segensworth Business Forum Ltd, provide for additional services to be provided to businesses within the BID area, funded by a levy on all non-domestic (business) ratepayers. The details are contained in the Forum's Business Plan.
A great deal of work to make life better for Segensworth based businesses has taken place. More information can be found on the group's website, but green travel plans, joint training events and increased security have all been successful BID projects.
The proposals were put to a ballot of all affected businesses.
The ballot closed on 10 May 2007 and the count took place on 11 May 2007.
The procedure required a majority in favour of those voting in both the Winchester City Council and Fareham Borough Council areas covered by the BID.
The BID proposals were approved in the ballot and the detailed results are attached below.
