Alcohol and Entertainment Licences
The Licensing Act 2003 came into effect in November 2005, requiring anyone selling or supplying alcohol, or providing regulated entertainment or late night refreshment to hold a premises licence or club premises certificate.
Any premises selling or supplying alcohol requires a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). This is a personal licence holder who authorises any sale of alcohol.

Licensing Policy
Winchester City Council has reviewed its licensing policy in relation to the Licensing Act 2003. The reviewed policy will last until January 2014.
